Flowers In Your Hair

I have made plans for my next vacation! Dad called me up last week and wanted me to come and meet him and Mom in SF, so I am!! I am very excited. It is always nice to get a little break from work and to go and see everybody. Jandon was going to try and come, but then the tickets were too expensive, maybe next time. I am sure he will find plenty of stuff to do while I am gone. We better gets sundaes everyday!

A True Oregonian?

Jandon and I always talk about how much we miss the rain and how nice it is in Oregon because of all the trees and all the green. Whenever it rains here it is so disappointing. For anyone who has ever experienced Utah "rain" it is horrible. Nothing like the freshness of Oregon rain. You almost feel dirtier after it rains here, because it is so gross smelling afterward. I am not exaggerating, but it rained every single day we were in Oregon--around day 5, Jandon says to me "I don't like the rain. It's annoying." I was shocked...I think we have been in Utah too long if he has the nerve to say that! Just so everyone knows I am a true Oregonian and to be honest I loved every second of the rain--even when we had to run up the longest driveway in Claremont!

All Good Things Must Come to an End

We are all packed and ready to go to the airport to end our vacation. It has been so nice to relax and not worry about anything. It has been really fun to see everybody! I wish that we lived closer, so we could do this more often. We shall see--that could happen maybe soon! I hope everyone else arrived home safely from all the traveling.

Countdown

We will be leaving for Oregon in 8 days--and it couldn't get here any faster! I am so ready for a vacation and to see everybody! I was talking to Dad today and he was saying how Mom was making him put up lights and how he had to go and get the tree today too. (he always acts like it is such a surprise that those things have to happen) It is so different here in Utah--people put up their decorations up like the day after Halloween. (lame) It makes it still feel like home knowing that Mom and Dad haven't changed and that they are hurrying to get the decorating done for when we all come home. We are excited and hope that everyone else is too!

Happy Birthday Dad

I have been trying to better about recognizing birthdays, but I always remember too late, but I wanted Dad's to be the first one that I tried to get up on time...and again I am late. So, Happy Birthday Dad (on Friday) he is busy partying in Cali! I thought this picture suited him because he loves SF and he loves Ghiradelli. Hope you had a great birthday and we are excited to see you soon.

I'm Hooked

Against my better judgment I started watching Friday Night Lights. I didn't need another show to get hooked on, but I kept hearing from Michele and Emily how awesome it was. Well, yesterday when I got home from work I started watching it while Jandon was studying...7 episodes later I finally fell asleep. I am crazy, but it is really good! Thanks guys for making me want to watch it!

Far Out

Lately at work it has been so great, because I have been able to listen to John Denver all the time. My office is located in the behavioral unit (add comment here) and one of the residents likes to blare his music--well his cd of choice lately has been a John Denver album. It has Wild Montana Skies on it and he will play it for me whenever I want. It is great. Sorry again Michele for not inviting you to the concert that summer--it really was the best concert ever!

Memories

I had a funny talk with Mom tonight (I think Emily might be the only one to remember this) as we were remembering when she read us this book. I was so freaked out afterwards--it was so funny. Mom wanted it to be this special thing we did together and Emily and I were traumatized! We had a good laugh. It makes me that more excited to go home soon!

Thanksgiving

I know I have been terrible at blogging. I will do better, but probably after the holidays! Thanksgiving was very good! I really think that we need to have more days in the year that is centered around such good food and pies! Jason ended up making my Thanksgiving complete, because he made a chocolate pie and decided to share it with me. I am sorry, but it will never truly be a Thanksgiving to me if I don't have a chocolate pie. One of my favorite Thanksgivings was the year that we went to Idaho Falls and Grandma made cornacopias for everyone--I still to this day want to know how she made those!
